MM: LittleBigPlanet Will Take Full Advantage Of Blu-ray
by Billy Brown
The release of LittleBigPlanet is right around the corner, and when that glorious day arrives, it will only be available on Blu-ray.
Media Molecule co-founder Alex Evans reaffirmed that fact again in a recent interview. And it appears that the title will be making good use of the format.
"I believe a Blu-ray single layer is 20GB and a dual layer is 40GB, but we're filling up the Blu-ray," he explained.
"One of the things on there is we're having a lot of tutorial content - basically there are two paths through the game, the player's route and the creator's route."
Speaking about how the LBP in its current form would be impossible because of the lack of a hard drive in every unit, Evans gushed about how useful BR has been in the title's development.
"It's really useful that thanks to Blu-ray we haven't needed to worry about file size, it's never crossed my mind," he admitted.
