PS3 Prepares To Put On A Fancy 'Dress'

by Chris Naughton

Back at the Tokyo Game Show in September, Kaz Hirai announced Dress, which is to be a premium avatar service for PS3.

"Dress uses an exclusive avatar system, presumably separate from the standard Home avatars. You can make detailed customizations to hair style, body make, and facial features. The clothes that you select are also precisely recreated down to proper patterns and cloth simulations. Sony is working with both fashion brands and cloth makers for this area of the product," reported IGN.

Since then, there hasn't been a peep about the project. But now there's an official teaser website up from Sony Japan, which can be found here. There's no text to be found to translate, but if you're interested in looking at black silhouettes of hairless people on a white background, then this site will be your dream come true.

We'll provide more details once they become available.
