Sony: PS3 In-Game XMB This Summer!
by M. Renton
In-game XMB, the much anticipated holy grail for PS3 gamers, is closer than ever to becoming a reality.
SCE UK boss Ray Maguire mentioned the upcoming new features to the PlayStation 3 cross media bar whilst talking up Sony sales to MCV.
"Our momentum will continue with the introduction of in-game communication in the summer, firmware update 2.4 and the strongest line-up of games through our third party partners and our own studios," he told the website.
Hopefully his definition of summer means more the June side of things than the August end. In-game XMB has been one of the few areas that Xbox 360 had a leg up on PS3 in, so the introduction of the feature should even the score a bit.
